Londyn to jedno z moich ulubionych miast w Europie. Zawsze dużo się w nim dzieje i można znaleźć tam naprawdę wszystko, czego się szuka. A pogoda nie jest wcale tak deszczowa, jak niektórzy myślą.
London is one of my favorite cities in Europe. There is always a lot going on and you can find there anything that you are looking for. Furthermore, the weather is not as rainy as some people may think.
Zacznę od mojego ulubionego tematu, czyli od jedzenia. Nie jest tajemnicą, że uwielbiam słodycze. Dlatego bardzo ucieszyło mnie jedzenie ciastek na śniadanie (mam zamiar praktykować ten zwyczaj). Poza tym odwiedziłam kilka restauracji, które wydały mi się interesujące. Byłam w „Crepe Parisienne” na Chiswick, w „The Breakfast Club” na Soho i w dwóch pizzeriach, czyli we „Franco Manca” na Brixton i w „Santa Maria” na Ealing. Dwa pierwsze miejsca są świetne dla fanów naleśników, pierwsze ze względu na naleśniki typu „crepe”, a drugie typu „pancake”. Natomiast pizza była naprawdę przepyszna. Nie wiem jak teraz wrócę do jedzenia tej z pizzerii w pobliżu mojego bloku. Poza tym, wreszcie spróbowałam kimchi. Muszę przyznać, że to bardzo smaczna potrawa, tylko trochę pikantna.
I shall start with my favorite topic,which is food. It is no secret that I love sweets. Therefore, eating biscuits for breakfast pleased me a lot (I'm going to cultivate this habit). Besides I visited some restaurant that struck me as interesting. I was in “Crepe Parisienne” at Chiswick, in “The Breakfast Club” on Soho and in two pizzerias – “Franco Manca” on Brixton and “Santa Maria” on Ealing. First place is great for fans of the crepes and the second one should please fans of pancakes. Pizzerias were really amazing. I don’t know how am I going to come back to eating pizza from the pizzeria near my house. I must say, that I have even tried kimchi. I got to admit, it's a very tasty dish, just a little spicy.
Obowiązkowym punktem każdego wyjazdu jest zwiedzanie. Nie przepadam za typowymi zabytkami, ale tym razem postanowiłam się wreszcie wybrać na Tower Hill. Jeśli chodzi o muzea, to odwiedziłam muzeum „Victoria&Albert”, a przy okazji świetną wystawę o butach, która akurat się tam odbywała. Myślę, że spodobałaby się każdemu, kto choć trochę interesuje się modą. Mozna bylo tam zobaczyc buty Marilyn Monroe, sławne koturny, w których na wybiegu przewróciła się Naomi Campbell, Manolo Blahniki Carrie Bradshaw, a także korki Davida Beckhama. Ponadto, byłam w Saatchi Gallery i Tate Modern. Saatchi Gallery zrobiła na mnie bardzo pozytywne wrażenie. Poza tym, odwiedzilam Camden Town, Portobello Market (tam zawsze chętnie wracam), Peron 9 ¾, Regent Park, Harrodsa, Westfield, a także wiele innych miejsc, nawet Hackney. Nie wspominajac już o Oxford Street i Piccadilly Circus.
Sightseeing is a must of every trip. I don’t like the typical attractions, but this time I decided to finally check out the Tower Hill. In terms of museums, I had visited the "Victoria & Albert" museum, and by the way a great exhibition of shoes, which was just taking the place there. I think that it would appeal to anyone who has even a tiny bit interest in fashion. There were shoes of Marilyn Monroe, the famous wedges - wearing which Naomi Campbell fell on the catwalk, Carrie Bradshaw’s Manolo Blahniks, as well as the shoes of David Beckham. Besides, I was in Saatchi Gallery and Tate Modern. The first one made a possitive impression on me. Apart from that, I was on Camden Town, Portobello Market (it is always nice to come back there),on the Platform 9 ¾, in Regent Park, at Harrods, in Westfield and in many other places, even in Hackney. Not to mention the Oxford Street and Piccadilly Circus.

Podsumowując, wyjazd naprawdę się udał. Poznałam wiele świetnych ludzi, jadłam dobre jedzenie, odwiedziłam nowe miejsca. Jedynym minusem jest to, że zgubiłam w metrze czapkę, którą miałam od 17-ego roku życia, ale liczę, że Transport for London jeszcze wyśle mi maila z informacją, że jednak się znalazła. A tak w ogóle to Londyn jest super i mieszkanie tam byłoby fantastyczne.
In summary, time spend in London was really wonderfull. I met many great people, I was eating tasty food, I visited new places. The only downside is that I lost my cap in the tube - a cap that I had since I was seventeen. Yet, I still hope that Transport for London somehow will send me an email with an information of my found cap. Anyway London is splendid and living there most certainly would be awesome.
